Annie Chang, M.D., is a California native who grew up in San Jose. She was originally born in Taipei, Taiwan and has maintained conversation Mandarin throughout her life. Her undergraduate studies in biology & psychology were completed at University of California San Diego. She received her MD degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. While in medical school she met her husband, Sam Matsuo Jr., M.D., who is currently the medical director at the Kaweah Health Rehabilitation hospital. Together they are raising two sons.
Dr. Chang completed her ophthalmology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute. Dr. Chang is dedicated to treating a variety of ocular medical and surgical conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, dry eyes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and pterygium to name the most prevalent. She is experienced in the latest laser assisted cataract surgery technology and is offering premium intraocular lens implants to her patients. In addition Dr. Chang provides comprehensive eye exams for children and adults.
